Role Description

*Job Summary: QA/QC Engineer (Instrumentation & Control Systems)*

*Key Responsibilities*

  1. *Quality Planning & Documentation*

  2. Develop, review, and approve *Quality Assurance Plans (QAP)*, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and data sheets for I&C systems.

  3. Draft internal inspection & testing formats.

  4. *Inspection & Testing*

  5. Conduct site inspections of:

  6. Field instruments (sensors, transmitters, valves).

  7. Cable laying, JB/tray installation.

  8. PLC, SCADA systems.

  9. Verify *calibration, loop checks, and functional tests*.

  10. *Compliance & Standards*

  11. Ensure adherence to *IEC, ISA, ISO 9001, and electrical safety codes*.

  12. Coordinate with vendors for *FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)* and documentation.

  13. *Procurement & Supervision*

  14. Control material procurement.

  15. Perform *incoming inspection* of instrumentation materials.

  16. Supervise site team and ensure compliance.

  17. *Documentation*

  18. Maintain *QA/QC records, call logs, and test reports*.

  19. Support *pre-commissioning and commissioning* activities.

  20. *Additional Skills*

  21. Familiarity with *solar PV systems*.

  22. Strong communication and coordination skills.


*Requirements*

  • *Education:* BE (Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics).

  • *Experience:* 7+ years in I&C systems.

  • *Technical Knowledge:*

  • Industrial standards (IEC, ISA).

  • Electrical safety codes.

  • Solar PV systems (advantage).

  • *Job Type:* Contractual (6 months).

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quality Control and Inspection processes to ensure adherence to defined standards and regulatory requirements
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Auditing methodologies
  • Experience in implementing and managing Quality Management systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze and resolve quality-related concerns effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in the relevant industries such as Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Engineering, or Metals and Minerals is preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
