Overview:

Semantic Technologies and Agritech Services Pvt. Ltd., a leading technology firm established in 2014, specializes in cutting-edge agricultural solutions backed by big data analysis, digital technology, GIS Mapping, Satellite/Drone Imagery, and Weather Data. We're currently seeking a multi-skilled Remote Sensing Executive with an agricultural background to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crop-wise sowing area estimation, crop loss assessment, drought monitoring, flood zone detection, and crop yield estimation.
  • Production of maps that depict the spatial distribution of various agricultural crops and related features.
  • Undertake data munging and cleaning tasks to prepare and refine data for analysis and mapping.
  • Manage and maintain a digital library of geographic maps across various file types.
  • Perform SAR data processing and understand its applications in agriculture.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in software tools including ArcGIS, SNAP, ERDAS Imagine, Google Earth Pro, and Google Earth Engine, R Studio.
  • A clear understanding of vegetation indices in remote sensing, specifically NDVI, RedEdge, LSWI, and GNDVI.
  • Knowledge of SAR data processing and its application in agriculture.
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in relevant software tools.
  • Basic skills in GIS data digitization and familiarity with data conversion projects, particularly in creating and editing Shape format/KML.

Educational Qualifications:

  • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
  • A post-graduate diploma or degree focused on Remote Sensing & GIS applications in agriculture.
