Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, FoundryOverview:

Mastercard Foundry is responsible for acquiring, engaging and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, cybersecurity and improving the digital payments experience while providing value added services and using expertise, data-driven insights and execution. As a member of the R&D team, we focus on bringing technology-led innovation across Foundry and Mastercard by researching emerging technologies, and creating groundwork for complex, nascent enterprise-wide projects.

Our team is built on a foundation of exploration and development of new products, mining innovation internally, developing new products with emerging technology, managing new products from inception to market validation to shape the future of commerce with and for our customers. Role:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic engineering leader to drive the transformation of one of our key locations within R&D which is poised for dramatic growth. In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the technical vision and roadmap, unlocking synergies across our platforms, data assets, and partner relationships to create meaningful value for our teams and our customers. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic location into its next era of growth and impact on a scale. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience developing technical strategies, promoting and fostering a culture of innovation, leading development of innovative prototypes and demos, and inspiring new ways of thinking across the team. This role will need to partner with both engineering and operations teams across the R&D organization and help drive synergy between them and bring the best of the R&D culture together in Pune.

This role will:

Provide executive leadership for the Global R&D organization in Pune, serving as the senior site lead and key representative.

Represent R&D and Foundry at various forums in and outside of Mastercard

Help advance Mastercard and R&D innovation agenda at the Pune TechHub

Drive innovation and organizational growth by advancing the vision, strategy, and priorities of the Global R&D function.

Develop and mentor top talent, fostering a strong pipeline of future leaders and technical experts.

Support enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic projects, ensuring effective execution and strong cross-functional partnerships.

Champion a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative culture that enables teams to do their best work.

Collaborate closely with Global R&D leadership to align local efforts with broader organizational goals and long-term strategy.
