Job Description: Data Scientist / Forecaster

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist/Forecaster to join our Capacity and Forecasting

team in Contact Center Area in Insurance Industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in

data handling, manipulation, and extraction using tools such as Excel, Python, Alteryx, SQL, and

Tableau or Power BI. This role involves developing robust forecasting models and building insightful

dashboards to assess forecast accuracy, enabling data-driven decision-making. Strong analytical

capabilities and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insights

 Analyse historical trends and seasonality to support strategic decision-making in Contact

Center domain.

 Conduct deep-dive analyses using Excel or Python to identify key drivers of volume changes.

Forecast Generation

 Produce weekly forecasts across multiple lines of business using Python-based models.

 Continuously monitor and refine forecasts based on emerging trends, seasonality, and

business updates.

Forecast Assessment

 Evaluate forecast accuracy on a weekly basis and highlight key insights, especially for high-

variance days.

 Maintain and present forecast assessment dashboards during weekly huddles.

Stakeholder Collaboration

 Communicate analytical findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders,

particularly during critical periods such as holidays.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored

analytical solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise
Technical Proficiency

 Strong command of Excel, SQL, and Python for advanced data analysis, extraction, and

manipulation.

 Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

 Proficiency in ETL tools, especially Alteryx, for data preparation.

Analytical Expertise

 Advanced understanding of time series forecasting techniques, particularly for contact

center demand volume.

 Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights to inform forecasts.

 Flexibility to handle ad-hoc analytical requests and deliver actionable insights.

Problem-Solving & Communication

 Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear,

actionable recommendations.

 Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to senior

stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics,

Engineering, or a related field.

 Experience: Minimum of 4 years in data analytics, with substantial experience in time series

forecasting.
