Experience - 8+ years

The Head of AI / AI Architect will be responsible for defining and driving the technical and architectural vision for a next-generation AdTech ecosystem. This includes building scalable, low-latency systems such as ad exchanges, SSP/DSP integration layers, and real-time bidding infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, highly technical, and capable of translating business goals into robust, future-proof engineering and AI/ML-driven solutions while mentoring and scaling a high-performance technology team.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & System Design

• Define the end-to-end technical architecture for programmatic advertising components including Ad Exchange, SSP, DSP integrations, and RTB systems.
• Design for extremely high throughput and ultra-low latency (e.g., sub-100ms bid responses).
• Build a modular architecture that supports plug-and-play demand– and supply-side integrations.
• Lead architectural reviews, scalability planning, performance tuning, and system optimization.

2. Technology Strategy & AI Roadmap

• Develop and evolve the overarching technology roadmap aligned with product and monetization goals.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as edge bidding, clean rooms, contextual AI models, and privacy-first machine learning.
• Partner with product and business teams to ensure strong alignment between architecture, features, and revenue strategy.

3. Engineering Leadership

• Collaborate closely with backend and platform engineers to define best practices for design, development, data handling, and security.
• Mentor engineering talent and establish strong foundations across DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering.
• Promote an engineering culture emphasizing ownership, scalability, and innovation.

4. Data, ML & Infrastructure

• Architect real-time data pipelines for analytics, reporting, experimentation, and machine-learning-driven optimization.
• Ensure high availability, distributed fault tolerance, and efficient data storage across large-scale environments.
• Work with DevOps teams to improve cloud efficiency, network performance, and system observability.

5. Compliance, Privacy & Governance

• Architect with privacy, transparency, and regulatory standards in mind (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, cookie-less identity frameworks).
• Establish frameworks for consent management, identity resolution, audience segmentation, and privacy-first AI/ML systems.

Core Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of the AdTech ecosystem: SSP, DSP, Ad Exchange, RTB, header bidding, and programmatic workflows.
• Experience architecting high-throughput, distributed systems (100K+ QPS).

Hands-on expertise with:

• Languages:
  Go, Java, Rust
• Datastores:
  Redis, Aerospike, Cassandra, ClickHouse
• Streaming:
  Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming
• Cloud & Infra:
  AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Data/ML Systems:
  ETL pipelines, analytics stores, model deployment, and real-time decision engines
• Experience building real-time optimization engines using multi-signal data inputs.
• Familiarity with privacy-first frameworks and identity management technologies.

Preferred Profile :

• Proven experience as Chief Architect, Principal Engineer, or Distinguished Engineer in AdTech/B2B or other high-scale data/AI-driven environments.
• Strong exposure to real-time bidding systems and supply–demand optimization.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-scaling environment.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
