The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing projects for the design, installation, commissioning, of all electrical systems for the water treatment plants. The role would ensures that the plant's designed and supplied electrical systems support reliable and efficient operations while maintaining compliance

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, panel layouts, and load calculations
  • Specify and select appropriate electrical equipment (transformers, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, motors, UPS, lighting systems).
  • Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash analysis)
  • Prepare technical specifications and support procurement of electrical equipment
  • Develop and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5-8 years' experience in electrical design, installation, and maintenance in water treatment, desalination, or similar process plants
  • Familiarity with medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) distribution systems.
  • Strong knowledge of motor control centers (MCC), VFDs, soft starters, and large pump/motor systems.
  • Proficient in electrical drafting software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar)
  • Understanding of SCADA system integration from an electrical point of view.
  • Experience in grounding, lightning protection, and cathodic protection systems.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency principles and power factor correction methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication
