The Operations Head of Tele-ICU / Tele Monitoring at Medanta will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end set-up & management, growth/scale-up, and efficiency of overall Program/Service. This includes clinical coordination, operational leadership, quality assurance, staff management, and integration of technology to deliver high-quality remote critical care services.

Setting up: Operations Leadership & Management:Develop and implement policies, clinical protocols, and workflows for efficient tele-ICU operations

Evaluate tele-ICU service providers, software, products/features and further collaborate with hospital leadership & ICU units across all network hospitals to ensure seamless integration of tele-ICU services with our EMR/other systems

Setting up whole program in partnership with service provider and also work towards scaling up to network centers

Manage Tele-ICU team, including intensivists, nurses, and technical support staff

Oversee daily operations of the Tele-ICU command center

Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics for the Tele-ICU program

Clinical Oversight / Clinical Coordination:Collaborate with critical care physicians to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and standards of care. Ensure clinical excellence in remote monitoring, patient management, and decision-making in critical care settings

Monitor performance metrics such as response times, patient outcomes, and clinician engagement

Participate in and supervise virtual rounds, urgent response protocols, and critical patient interventions.Support on-site ICU teams by providing expert guidance, especially during off-hours

Team Management:Hire, train, and supervise Tele-ICU staff including intensivists, nurses, coordinators, and support staff

Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Quality & Compliance:Ensure compliance with national telemedicine and critical care regulations. Implement quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and accreditationsRequirementsMedical Degree is preferred; MBA/MHA will be an added advantage12–15 years of experience in hospital operations or critical care, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Prior experience in telemedicine, Tele-ICU, or remote monitoring operations strongly preferred

Strong understanding of ICU clinical workflows, medical informatics, and remote monitoring technologies

Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and decision-making skills

In-depth knowledge of ICU protocols and healthcare regulations

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Familiarity with remote patient monitoring systems, EMRs, and healthcare IT platforms

Ability to manage crisis situations and high-pressure environments
