Solution Architect

Responsibilities :

• Design and architect comprehensive cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, considering business requirements, technical constraints, and security best practices.
• Develop detailed solution architecture documents, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure services and technologies to meet project requirements.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural designs.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.
• Architect and implement hybrid and multi-cloud solutions leveraging Azure services.
• Optimize Azure deployments for performance, scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency.
• Stay abreast of the latest Azure updates, features, and best practices, and apply them to solution designs.
• Apply established architectural patterns (microservices, serverless, event-driven, data mesh) to design scalable and resilient solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate architectural patterns based on specific project requirements and constraints.
• Ensure adherence to architectural principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Design solutions that adhere to security and compliance frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and design reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mentor and train junior architects and developers on Azure technologies and architectural best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate architectural designs, decisions, and trade-offs to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks and dependencies.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Mandatory Skills and Expertise :

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• Proficiency in Azure networking, security, identity management, and data services.
• Strong understanding and practical experience applying various architectural patterns, including microservices, serverless, event-driven, and data-driven architectures.
• Ability to select and implement appropriate patterns based on project requirements.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, best practices, and industry trends.
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
