Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will serve as a critical leadership partner to the CFO, responsible for strengthening financial governance, integrity, and scalability across the organization. This is a highly visible, CXO- and Board-facing role with direct accountability for financial controls, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and the credibility of financial reporting.

Operating in a complex, high-scale environment, the role will enable informed decision-making, risk management, and sustainable growth through robust financial stewardship and disciplined execution.

Strategic Mandate

• Act as the custodian of financial governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure accuracy, transparency, and credibility of financial information presented to the CFO, Audit Committee, and Board
• Build scalable finance processes aligned with long-term growth and organizational maturity
• Strengthen enterprise risk management, audit outcomes, and regulatory standing

Key Responsibilities

Financial Governance & Controls

• Own end-to-end financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual) with best-in-class standards of accuracy, timeliness, and discipline
• Ensure financial statements are fully compliant with Ind AS and applicable accounting standards
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance the Internal Financial Controls (IFC) framework
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks; proactively design mitigation and control mechanisms

Audit, Compliance & Risk Management

• Lead statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits with direct accountability for outcomes and quality
• Act as the primary interface with statutory auditors, internal auditors, advisors, and regulators
• Ensure full compliance with the Companies Act, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable regulations
• Present audit findings, control gaps, and remediation plans to senior leadership and the Audit Committee

Treasury, Payments & Cash Management

• Provide leadership oversight of end-to-end payment operations, including vendor payments, payroll, and statutory dues
• Establish robust authorization, approval, and reconciliation frameworks for all payment processes
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning
• Manage banking relationships and treasury operations with strong governance and risk controls

Financial Reporting & Executive Decision Support

• Deliver high-quality MIS, dashboards, and variance analysis for executive management and Board review
• Partner closely with the CFO to drive insights on cost optimization, margin improvement, and financial scalability
• Support strategic initiatives, investments, and growth programs with rigorous financial analysis
• Drive automation and system-led enhancements across accounting and reporting processes (ERP/SAP)

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance organization of 15+ professionals
• Establish clear accountability, governance standards, and performance metrics across the finance function
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, senior management, and Board stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enable disciplined financial operations and business alignment

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
• 12+ years of progressive experience across financial control, accounting, audit, and compliance
• Demonstrated leadership experience in large-scale, high-growth, or complex organizations
• Strong command of Ind AS, Indian regulatory frameworks, and audit practices
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Proven ability to operate with senior leadership, Audit Committees, and Board-level stakeholders
