Company Description

SANPAR Industries, established in 1994 and headquartered in Bangalore, India, is a leading provider of thermal engineering solutions. With expertise in compressed air treatment, SANPAR offers products such as refrigeration and desiccant based compressed air dryers, compressed air filters, air/gas after coolers, moisture separators, and condensate management systems. SANPAR also specializes in water/oil/air chillers and industrial air conditioning systems, including dehumidifiers and precision air conditioners for sterile and environment control applications. The company actively participates in government projects related to Aerospace & Défense concepts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan the procurement activities based on the production planning or PR
  • Ensure timely processing of the purchase indent from Production/QC/Maintenance/ Stores/ Administration Department
  • Ensure timely floating of enquiries (RFQ) and obtain quotations for material requirement as per BOM/ PR
  • Negotiate and finalize the quotations
  • Ensure the Purchase Orders are prepared on time and as per the set standards
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per the production schedule; Maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Follow-up for the deliveries with suppliers, transporters & freight forwarders
  • Follow-up for payments from Accounts department
  • Interact with vendors and answer their queries on payments
  • Ensure timely procurement of the packing materials, stationeries, tools, jigs and fixtures
  • Visit the vendor premises to sort out delivery issues
  • Record the visit in the Supplier visit register with the details
  • Maintain a record of all the issues faced with the vendor
  • Interact with Technical department for drawings and design clarifications.
  • Ensure that all activities within the purchase department follow corporate standards as well as government regulations.
  • Co-ordinate with Production department for movement of materials for outsourced activities in the production process
  • Verify Delivery Challan and send it for approval of GM - Commercial
  • Co-ordinate with Accounts Department for generating E-Sugama/E-way bill
  • Interact with suppliers and transporters continuously to ensure smooth movement of material
  • Co-ordinate with QC department for calibration of instruments & gauges.
  • Co-ordinate with Service department for repair/rectification of machineries
  • Should be able to understand the design and drawing
  • Procure the materials as per the BOM for both standard and non-standard materials.

Vendor Development & Management:

  • Guide the team in identifying and selecting new vendors for each product or component
  • Develop vendors through vendor enquiry forms in the company website and subscription of industrial portals
  • Negotiating price and terms of business with the vendors and approve the vendor
  • Evaluate and rate the vendors on their performance
  • Maintain effective working relations with vendors by establishing and maintaining good relationship
  • Initiate legal action against defaulting vendors and black-listing them from future dealings with the company.
  • Migrate to e-procurement platform
