Purpose And Scope
As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution is about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, will focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific area of their expertise. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force, Veeva), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP), and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Clinical, Patient Safety, Quality Management Solutions. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Platform Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization. This could involve programming, configuring settings, and integrating various software solutions.
• System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating CRM and ERP systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.
• Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
• ABAP Developer is responsible for the gathering of SAP requirements and specifications, analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing, configuring, deploying, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications
• Participate and collaborate with the users, business analyst, quality assurance/quality control analyst in the gathering of user requirements and specifications
• Participate and conduct feasibility study, research and development, prototyping and proof of concept (PoC) in implementing new/existing systems, solutions and processes
• Participate in the technical and project documentation such as but not limited to functional, system and technical design, requirements and specifications
• Create test scenarios and data and conduct or participate in non-functional and functional testing (e.g., unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.)
• Document, analyze and report test results
• Develop and review codes, programs and configurations to verify consistency and conformance with established programming and industry standards, guidelines, policies and practices
• Conduct incident and problem analysis, data gathering, investigation and resolution of issues, and provide technical consultancy, assistance and support
• Deliver the required systems/applications/solutions on time and based on agreed budget and specifications
• Identify, assess and recommend opportunities for application and process improvement
• Provide regular and effective progress updates to the project manager/team lead/supervisor/immediate manage
• Develop, customize, enhance, fix and maintain codes, applications and systems

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science, engineering or information systems, or STEM Degree
• Demonstrated ability to Analyze technical and business requirements and translate these into basic and detailed technical design
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Strategic thinking and thought leadership capabilities; ability to institutionalize new tools, processes, and technologies
• Knowledge of implementation project life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over and go-live support
• At least 2 years of SAP end-to-end implementation experience and at least one S/4HANA Implementation / upgrade experience
• Ability to adapt to fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks at a time and self-motivated to learn advanced technologies
• 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in developing S4HANA ABAP, Adobe interactive forms, ALE/IDOCs, Smart forms
• Extensive prior experience in the field of S4HANA ABAP and Object-oriented programming, Interface programming, RFC, ODATA, BAPI, Web-UI, SOAP, XML, Web-Dynpro, ABAP on HANA using Eclipse
• Hands on experience on SAP enhancement techniques like exits, BADI, and new enhancement framework (AIF)
• Basic Knowledge of functional modules like FI/CO, SD, MM, Purchasing, HR etc.
• 5 years of experience in developing in UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies, IDocs, Proxies & Webservices
• 4 years of experience in developing CDS Views and HANA views
• 2 years of experience working with agile software design methodology for development and documentation
• Strong experience in Workflow, Flexible Workflows
• Experience in ALE/EDI IDOCs
• Excellent ABAP debugging and strong troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interface with the business
• Self-motivated with dedication to continuous learning
• Ability to develop innovative SAP solutions
• Certification in SAP ABAP or related modules preferred
• Experience on Fiori Custom Fields and Logic (CFL) for modifications to standard SAP tables, Fiori apps
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA - Data Modeling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS and backend OData services, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services Knowledge of using ABAP RESTful Programming Model ABAP Development for SAP S/4HANA
• Experience in Application of SAP correction instructions, hot notes, SPAU & SPDD during upgrades
