Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
  • Provide both outpatient and inpatient care services.

  • Offer specialist opinions for referred patients.

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, EUS depending on training).

  • Supervise and report endoscopic procedures as per hospital protocols.

  • Participate in MDT meetings (e.g., IBD, hepatology, GI cancers).

  • Work closely with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and pathologists.

  • Contribute to departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in service planning and development.

  • upervise junior doctors, trainees, and medical students.

  • Contribute to continuous medical education (CME) programs and clinical teaching.
