Job Description:

An Operator of a DM (Demineralization) Plant is responsible for operating and maintaining the plant to produce high-purity, mineral-free water for industrial use. Key duties include monitoring equipment, testing water quality, performing routine maintenance, handling chemicals, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 
 
Core responsibilities
  • Plant operation: Start, stop, and monitor the equipment to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient production of demineralized water.
  • Water quality monitoring: Regularly test and monitor water quality parameters to ensure it meets required standards.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on plant equipment.
  • Chemical handling: Safely handle and use necessary chemicals for the demineralization process, including adjusting dosages as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational problems and equipment malfunctions to prevent downtime.
  • Record keeping: Accurately log data on production, maintenance activities, chemical consumption, and other relevant operational metrics.
  • Safety and compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Maintain cleanliness within the plant premises.
  • Coordination: Communicate with other teams, like maintenance, to schedule and execute repairs and ensure smooth plant operations.
