Manager – Data Engineering

Candidate will lead a team of 5-6 data professionals while managing delivery across 2-3 client engagements simultaneously. This role combines technical leadership in data analytics, BI development, and cloud solutions with team management responsibilities and client relationship management.

Team Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 data professionals
  • Manage concurrent project deliveries across 2-3 client engagements
  • Establish project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards
  • Review and approve technical deliverables
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance

Technical Solution Design & Implementation

  • Design data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory and other cloud services
  • Develop complex semantic models and data warehouse solutions
  • Create dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for various stakeholders
  • Implement row-level security and data governance standards
  • Establish technical best practices and standards

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead client meetings and presentations
  • Drive requirement gathering and solution validation
  • Manage project scope and expectations
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Ensure client satisfaction and delivery quality

Requirements
Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics and BI, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Expert level proficiency in SQL and data modelling
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages
  • Advanced knowledge of DAX for writing complex calculation
  • Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with data management and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Power BI certification and Azure certifications (Data Engineer, Solution Architect) is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis is a plus
