Roles & Responsibilities

· Assist project team in setting up a microbiology lab for regular testing of materials and independently run the microbiology lab.

· Periodically audit manufacturing sites for plant hygiene. Assess potential areas and practices conducive to the growth of microorganisms and work out a plan and implement it to ensure a clean working environment.

· Establish and implement testing protocol for testing incoming raw materials susceptible to microorganism contamination

· Regularly screen incoming raw materials for possible microorganism contamination and report.

· Regularly screen finish products susceptible to micro organism growth and approve the batch as per customer specification prior to dispatch

· Liaise with customers to establish a good manufacturing practice to control microorganism contamination in processed materials

· Attend to product complaints on microbe growth in supplied materials, investigate the reasons and put in place control measures.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  1. Qualification - BSc or MSc in Microbiology

  2. Experience - minimum 5 Years

Industry exposure - Coatings, food, sanitation, water treatment units
