ETL Integration Specialist

Our client is expanding its data engineering capability and is hiring three ETL Integration Specialists to strengthen its global market data function. These roles sit within a high-performing technology group supporting complex financial environments where accuracy, timeliness, and reliability are absolutely non-negotiable.

You'll be building and maintaining the data pipelines that feed trading, risk, analytics, and operational systems across the business. If you understand the quirks of market data and enjoy making messy feeds behave beautifully, you'll feel right at home.

Role Overview:

You'll design, deliver, and support enterprise-grade ETL, ingesting vendor feeds, standardising instruments, and ensuring critical data lands cleanly into downstream systems. You'll work closely with Market Data Operations, Development teams, and Data Governance to ensure every flow is robust, auditable, and compliant.

It is your responsibility to make sure data pipelines run smoothly without constant firefighting and new sources are brought into the estate with far less drama and far more accuracy. Your work is the reason for the teams who rely on this information day to day gaining real confidence in its reliability. When the flow of data is transparent, well governed, and easy to trace from origin to output, everyone from analysts to risk specialists can do their jobs without second-guessing the numbers in front of them.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build and refine data pipelines that ingest and process market information at different frequencies.
• Bring external vendor sources into internal systems using reliable and well structured ingestion methods.
• Create transformation routines that standardise instruments and pricing data across sources.
• Introduce new data feeds by setting up identifiers, permissions, and basic validation checks.
• Maintain core datasets covering instruments, pricing details, descriptive fields, and lifecycle events.
• Put monitoring, alerting, and recovery steps in place so data flows remain dependable.
• Implement controls that detect missing records, odd values, or duplicates.
• Work with oversight teams to ensure data usage aligns with licensing and compliance rules.
• Keep documentation clear for mappings, processes, and lineage so teams can understand and support the flows.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Practical experience building and supporting ETL or ELT workflows using modern tooling.
• Good understanding of common integration methods such as APIs, secure file transfers, and messaging protocols.
• Exposure to streaming or real-time data technologies and the ability to work with high-volume market information.
• Experience working on major cloud platforms and with contemporary data-warehouse or lakehouse setups.
• Solid grasp of financial instruments across multiple asset classes and how their data behaves.
• Familiarity with major market data vendors and the typical structures of their datasets.
• Understanding of identifiers, pricing concepts, lifecycle events, and how instrument data is linked together.
• Awareness of entitlement models and the controls needed to handle licensed data correctly.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Clear communicator who writes clean documentation and collaborates well with technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable turning business requirements into practical technical solutions without heavy supervision.

Nice to have:

• Degree in Computer Science; Engineering; Financial Technology or a related field
• Experience in trading, risk, or investment operations
• Exposure to MDM tooling
