Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience 7+ years) in the Indian insurance market to lead business analysis efforts for strategic digital transformation and product development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge across Life, Health, and General Insurance, combined with strong experience in Agile SDLC, requirement analysis, and end-to-end product development. The role involves working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Development, and QA teams to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of business solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analysis or Product Development within the Indian Insurance or InsurTech domain.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects in Agile environments.

  • Domain Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of Indian insurance value chainincluding product setup, underwriting, claims, and regulatory requirements.

  • Exposure to core insurance systems, policy administration platforms, and digital front-end solutions.

  • Agile & SDLC Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

  • Technical & Analytical Acumen:

  • Ability to understand data models, integrations, APIs, and workflows to bridge business and technical perspectives effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess requirements and recommend feasible, value-driven solutions.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to engage with senior business leaders, product owners, and IT stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Ability to lead business analysis activities independently, mentor junior analysts, and drive collaboration across multi-functional teams.

  • Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Preferred certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent Agile/BA certifications.
