Centum T&S India is, part of Centum Electronics Group, that offers a wide range of electronic and embedded systems design engineering services to Global Customers to help them realize complex products and sub-systems. Centum T&S is an Electronics Design Centre of Excellence, designing for mission-critical projects in Aerospace/Space, Transportation, Medical Electronics, Dfense Electronics, etc. Centum Electronics Group has other design centers in France, the USA, Canada & Germany.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated multitasker and a demonstrated team player. You will be responsible for the quality of the deliveries and should interact with cross cross-functional team and resolve problems. You should excel in working with global stakeholders, have outstanding communication and leadership skills, and report to the Manufacturing lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical test benches for aerospace components such as actuators, control surfaces, engines, and structural assemblies.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using aerospace-standard design tools (e.g., CATIA and AutoCAD).
  • Integrate sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for high-fidelity testing.
  • Conduct structural, thermal, and vibration analysis using FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN).
  • Ensure designs meet aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, DO-160, MIL-STD).
  • Collaborate with aerospace systems engineers, electrical engineers, and software teams for integrated test solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including BOMs, test procedures, and compliance reports.
  • Understand the Customer datapack, create the BOM, and coordinate with manufacturers
  • Searching suitable AVL manufacturers and providing the manufacturing part number(MPN) for COTS items
  • Providing alternative part number / MPN fo COTS_1 (due to obsolescence)
  • SOW, BOM preparation for stakeholders / subcontracting work/turnkey work
  • Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of test benches.
  • Mechanical parts source inspection with all of the mechanical vendors
  • Supporting the QC team for mechanical parts inspection, reports evaluation, and collection of supplier inspection reports
  • RFQ Concept design of test fixture using CAD Tool, man-hours calculation for mechanical work cost estimation of mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot and optimize test setups for accuracy, repeatability, and safety.
  • Interface with aerospace suppliers and certification bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 37 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in aerospace test systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge in FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus).
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances.
  • Familiarity with aerospace instrumentation and testing standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with propulsion system test benches or environmental simulation chambers.
  • Exposure to cable harness and its different connectors and data analysis.
  • Exposure to the Electromechanical component and design / modify a Test bench
  • Understanding of aerospace certification, qualification, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge in vibration, thermal, and fatigue test setup and testing.
