Division Overview:

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments, and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. The electronic Fixed Income offering at Nomura is a critical component of our business. Electronic trading volumes in the industry continue to grow and offer clients an efficient means of execution.

Business Unit Overview:

The Fixed Income Electronic Trading team is responsible for managing Nomura's Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, analysing client RFQ data on electronic trading platforms and electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors. Our Fixed Income Electronic Trading Product Management team transforms complex market data into actionable intelligence, enabling trading and sales teams to optimize their execution strategies and capture untapped revenue opportunities. By leveraging advanced analytics and deep market insights, we provide strategic recommendations that drive product innovation, enhance client engagement, and measurably improve trading performance across fixed income platforms.

Role & Responsibilities:

A key position has opened in our Fixed Income Electronic Trading division. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to our automation strategy, helping transform our business operations and unlock substantial revenue potential. • Develop and maintain Python-based applications, focusing on efficient code writing and implementation of data processing solutions.

• Analyze complex datasets, identify technical issues and develop innovative solutions using strong problem-solving skills.

• Design and implement user-friendly dashboards with real-time visualization capabilities, ensuring optimal performance

• Demonstrate ability to quickly adapt to new technologies while collaborating effectively with team members.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic recommendations for Fixed Income trading desks.

• Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to track market data and trends.

• Provide analytical support for client engagements including data analysis and research.

Mind Set:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.

• More than 2 years of experience in data analytics or related fields.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

• Experience with data analysis and strong Python programming skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interact with all levels of individuals in the business.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Knowledge of q/kdb+ programming skills.

• Basic understanding of Flow Business (FI or FX) and financial markets.
