About the Role :

As a Senior Software Development Engineer II (Java) in the R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native, enterprise-grade financial applications.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to deliver highly scalable, resilient, and secure software solutions that power the next generation of digital banking platforms.

This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about modern Java development, microservices, and cloud-native technologies, who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and backend systems for SBSs cloud-native platform.

- Collaborate with architects and product teams to define technical specifications, design solutions, and ensure scalability and performance.

- Implement features using Spring Boot, Reactive Programming, and other modern Java frameworks.

- Work with Kubernetes and Docker to build, deploy, and manage distributed systems on the cloud.

- Integrate with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance and data consistency.

- Collaborate with front-end teams leveraging Angular and other UI frameworks to deliver seamless user experiences.

- Apply DevOps best practices for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.

- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.

- Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizations across the stack.

- Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

- Stay updated on emerging trends in Java ecosystems, cloud-native development, and financial technologies.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

years of hands-on experience in Java software development, ideally in enterprise or fintech domains.

- Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Reactive Programming (Project Reactor / RxJava).

- Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications on Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.

- Experience with MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases) and SQL databases.

- Familiarity with Angular or other modern front-end frameworks (a plus).

- Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
