Job Overview
Provides technical and engineering expertise for exploration, analysis, testing, and research of products and processes across functions.

*Job Requirements*

  • Provide material declarations and technical support to TE affiliates & customer requests on product compliance and conflict mineral requests as well address / resolve customer queries.
  • Evaluation of material declarations provided by the supplier based on the usage assessment of the substances in TE products.
  • Knowledge on the latest legislations related to the environmental regulatory compliance of various countries having TE's product footprint
  • Work with global purchase groups for non-responsive suppliers.
  • Participate in meetings / monthly /Bi-monthly Tele-conferences related to product compliance updates.
  • Interact directly with customers / TE affiliates for compliance or conflict Mineral or system related queries. Awareness of various systems / data repository, engineering processes
  • Knowledge of entering material declarations in different customer formats / Web portal.
  • Capability to lead a team of associates for daily operations
  • Initiate projects that have an impact on efficiency improvement and utilization at its best.
  • Identify areas of waste and work towards continuous improvement with a high focus on productivity & Quality.
  • Hands-on experience in Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculation for individual products.
  • Support the development and implementation of CO2 calculation (PCF, Scope 3) according to the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 / 14067
  • Preparation and coordination of CO2 reporting based on recognized standards at product and project level

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor of Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer Engineering / MSc in chemistry

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4 to 7 years' relevant experience in a product compliance and conflict Mineral role, preferably at a unit or enterprise level.
  • Experience in the automation of PCF/LCA calculations
  • Demonstrated experience in working as a team and across regions / time zones. Curiosity to understand, and ability to address and solve problems.
  • Ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions inside TE and outside, as example customers and suppliers.
