Teertham is a full-stack puja services and faith-tech platform serving families across Delhi-NCR. We standardise home-based pujas with certified acharyas, premium samagri, transparent pricing, and seamless booking across app, web, WhatsApp, and phone.

Current stack: WordPress + (web), Flutter (iOS/Android), (backend), AWS (infra) – but we're open to better choices as we scale.

Role Summary

We're hiring a hands-on CTO to own Teertham's technology end-to-end – architecture, execution, data, security, and team building. This is a builder role, not a passive advisory position.

Key Responsibilities

· Architecture & Platform

·       
• Own the architecture of a multi-channel platform (web, apps, WhatsApp, internal tools).

·       
• Evolve our stack pragmatically – improve what exists, and introduce better tools where needed (e.g. , Node/Nest, Python/FastAPI/Django, Go, modern relational + NoSQL DBs, microservices, event-driven systems).

• Ensure reliability, performance, observability, and cost discipline on AWS (or future cloud choices).

· Product & Delivery

·       
• Translate business goals into a clear product/tech roadmap with realistic milestones.

·       
• Run engineering execution: sprints, reviews, testing, staging → production releases.

·       
• Balance speed vs debt; keep the codebase clean enough to move fast without breaking everything.

· Data, Analytics & AI

·       
• Define data models and event tracking across all user touchpoints.

·       
• Set up dashboards for conversion, repeat usage, LTV, ops SLAs, and NPS.

·       
• Use data and AI (rules + models) for puja recommendations, acharya–devotee matching, offers, and nudges.

· Multi-Channel Experience & Internal Tools

·       
• Own the end-to-end user journey: discovery → booking → fulfilment → feedback across app/web/WhatsApp.

·       
• Build internal tools for ops, logistics, acharya management, support and QC.

·       
• Design for non-technical users: simple, fast, and robust.

· Security, Compliance & Governance

·       
• Implement strong security practices: auth, access control, data protection, logging, alerts, backups, DR.

·       
• Ensure compliance with relevant Indian data/payment norms as we scale.

·       
• Set engineering standards, documentation, and code review culture.

· Team & Vendor Leadership

·       
• Hire, grow, and retain a small, sharp engineering team (in-house + external).

·       
• Manage agencies/freelancers and hold them to technical and delivery standards.

·       
• Act as the technical counterpart to the founding team in all major decisions.

What We're Looking For

·       
• 8–15 years building and scaling consumer internet / marketplace / on-demand products.

·       
• Prior experience as CTO / Head of Engineering / Principal Architect in an early or growth-stage startup.

·       
• Strong hands-on background across modern full-stack technologies, ideally including:

- Web: or similar modern frontend frameworks

- Mobile: Flutter / React Native / native apps

- Backend: plus exposure to other stacks (Python, Go, Java, etc.)

- Databases: relational (Postgres/MySQL) and at least one NoSQL/queue/event system

- Cloud & DevOps: AWS (or equivalent), CI/CD, monitoring, basic infra-as-code concepts

• Comfortable with data and experimentation: funnels, cohorts, A/B tests, not just gut feel.

·       
• Track record of taking products from MVP → scale with real business impact, not just nice demos.

·       
• Education from IIT/BITS/IIIT/NIT/IIM/ISB is a plus; a strong portfolio of shipped products and teams led matters more.

• Orientation towards real metrics: uptime, booking success, cancellations, repeat, NPS.
