Role & responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance & Inspection
- Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft and components under supervision.
- Perform scheduled checks such as A-checks, line maintenance, daily and weekly inspections.
- Conduct defect rectification, troubleshooting, and component replacements.
- Assist in removal and installation of aircraft engines, avionics, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials used are serviceable and properly maintained.
Technical Documentation
- Record all maintenance activities accurately in aircraft logbooks and maintenance tracking systems.
- Ensure proper completion of job cards, inspection sheets, and task records as per regulatory and company requirements.
- Support engineers in preparing maintenance reports and defect rectification documents.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all DGCA / EASA / FAA regulations and company maintenance procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free (Foreign Object Debris) working environment.
- Report any incidents, damages, or potential hazards to supervisors immediately.
Support Activities
- Assist AMEs during major inspections, modifications, and aircraft turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with materials, logistics, and stores teams for spare parts and tools.
- Participate in troubleshooting exercises, functional checks, and testing of aircraft systems.
- Support in ground handling and pre-flight/post-flight inspections as required.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems (airframe, engine, avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical).
- Familiarity with maintenance manuals, task cards, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using ground support equipment (GSE) and standard maintenance tools.
- Good understanding of aircraft safety, maintenance procedures, and regulations.
- Team player with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts and challenging environments.
Preferred candidate profile
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma / AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) in Mechanical, Avionics, or Aeronautical Stream from a DGCA-approved institution.
- Additional certifications in Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) preferred.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, MRO, or line maintenance.
- Experience on specific aircraft types (e.g., Airbus A320, Boeing 737, ATR, etc.) is an advantage.
