Required Skills & Responsibilities

1. Core Technical Expertise

Software Engineering

  • Strong proficiency in at least one major backend language:
    Python (mandatory)
    / / Java / Go.
  • Solid understanding of
    microservices architecture
    .
  • Expertise in
    API design
    (REST & GraphQL), authentication mechanisms, and RBAC.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Deep hands-on experience with
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – mandatory
    .
  • Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure (preferred).
  • Strong skills in
    Infrastructure-as-Code
    : Terraform / CloudFormation.
  • Experience with
    CI/CD pipelines
    (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Expertise in
    containerization & orchestration
    : Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS/AKS).
  • Strong understanding of
    security best practices
    (IAM, VPC, secrets management, network security).

AI/ML Engineering
(Nice to Have / Role Dependent)

  • Familiarity with
    LLMs, vector databases, and embeddings
    .
  • Understanding of
    model deployment patterns
    .
  • Exposure to ML Ops frameworks: SageMaker, MLflow, Weights & Biases.

2. Architecture & System Design

  • Ability to design
    scalable, low-latency, and distributed systems
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    event-driven architectures
    (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
  • Experience building
    fault-tolerant and observable systems
    (logging, tracing, metrics).
  • Strong understanding of
    data architecture
    , including OLTP/OLAP systems, ETL, and streaming pipelines.

3. Leadership & Delivery

  • Experience
    leading engineering teams
    across 2–3 projects.
  • Strong skills in
    sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation
    .
  • Enforces high standards of
    code reviews
    and engineering quality.
  • Mentors and upskills team members.
  • Ability to handle conflicts and ensure smooth
    cross-team communication
    .

4. Product & Client Collaboration

  • Ability to collaborate with
    Product Managers, Solution Architects,
    and senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in translating business requirements into clear technical designs.
  • Comfortable
    presenting solutions to enterprise clients
    .
  • Experience working in consulting or IT services environments is a plus.
