Power BI + Python + Sql

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building and enabling the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting through Power BI.
• Design, build, integrate, monitor, and handle Power BI environments and premium capacities in accordance with best practices and legal and regulatory requirements.
• Build and manage flows in Microsoft Fabric.Work on all components of Microsoft Fabric like importing data into Lakehouse, creating dataflows, python coding in notebook etc.
• Handle Power BI tenant and capacity settings, workspaces, datasets and refreshes, data integration, etc.
• Coordinate with cloud team and tenant admin to understand the infrastructure and research on the necessary steps and plan to implement complex scenarios like embedding PowerBI reports in applications, Register PBI with Office 365, usage of service principles for single-sign-on etc.
• Ensure appropriate security measures are in place to secure company data in Power BI. This includes setting up access controls, creating data security policies, and implementing encryption.
• Partner with business and technical decision makers to understand requirements and present a shared technical and architectural vision to maximize the benefit of Power BI and the Power Platform as a whole.
• Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Proficient in creating complex DAX queriesand bookmarks.
• Implement row level security on data and understand applicationsecurity layer models in Power BI
• Develop tabular/multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science/engineering or related analytics areas.
• 6+ years' experience, preferably in analytics
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges.
• Knowledge ofPower BI REST APIs and using them for integration with existing Architecture.
• Designed and documented the Architecture of end of end BI solution.
• Proficiency in M language, DAX SQL(Power BI)
• Experience in PowerBI service features like Dataflows, Deployment Pipeline etc.
• Knowledge of various MS Azure resources
• Python knowledge preferred.
• PowerBI certification preferred.
• Can understand cross cultural differences and can work infrastructure teams.
• Experience in working on cloud and on-prem applications is preferred.
• Understanding of Azure,Office 365, PowerBI service, Microsoft Fabric infrastructure.
• Understanding of Advanced concepts – Register PBI with Office 365, usage of service principles PowerBI embedding etc.
