Role Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-oriented L3 Technical Support Engineer to provide third-level escalation support, troubleshooting, and validation for Netgears networking products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting across routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and storage devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L3 escalation support for routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and storage devices.
  • Replicate and validate customer-reported issues, ensuring accurate defect reporting to engineering.
  • Participate in new product testing and assist with release validation.
  • Review and validate internal documents, knowledge base articles, and training material.
  • Analyze customer interactions to identify field issues and recommend call avoidance strategies.
  • Conduct and deliver technical training sessions for support staff and partners.
  • Provide on-site field support (up to 10% travel).

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting network environments (hands-on experience with Netgear products is an advantage).
  • CCNA certified (or equivalent networking experience).
  • Strong understanding of network topologies, design, and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless, firewalls, VPN, switches, storage, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux networking applications.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
