OVERVIEW :

Our client, a leading multinational apparel manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join their leadership team as the Head of Business Development/Merchandising. This role is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record in global business expansion within the apparel manufacturing sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company's global footprint.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across various product categories and markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead customer presentations, pricing negotiations, and deal closures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, merchandising, and marketing to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to drive innovation and growth.
  • Represent the company in international business meetings and trade events.

PRE-REQUISITES :

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the apparel manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in handling circular knit products .
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management across international markets.
  • Must have experience traveling overseas for business development.
  • Candidate must possess Sri Lankan or Indian nationality.
