Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure sanitation compliance
• Manage guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues with professionalism to foster positive guest relations
• Support host/host duties when needed, including seating arrangements and managing waitlists
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
• Follow all food handling protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in the restaurant industry
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth operation during busy hours
• Contribute to a lively atmosphere at nightclubs or event spaces by providing exceptional service in high-energy settings

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork within fast-paced environments
• Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic settings like nightclubs or high-volume restaurants
• Prior host/host experience or familiarity with guest relations enhances your ability to create welcoming atmospheres
