Job Title: Epic Owner (Senior)

About the Company: The Architecture, IT Strategy & Program management (ASP) Chapter Area within Digital Transformation & IT (DTI) aims among others at providing Proximus with outstanding program and project management capabilities, enabling our business to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

Position Overview: As Epic Owner you will be responsible to plan and steer implementation of IT development initiatives across different tribes within budget, in line with continuous delivery practices and with the desired outcome. The Epic Owner is assigned to an Agile Tribe or Key Initiative (Program) and works with one or more squad(s) of that Tribe or from other enabling tribes. Within the Tribe or Key Initiative, the epic owner is responsible for the planning and steering of the implementation of epics with impact on multiple (enabling) tribes.

Projects may concern among others the rollout of Fiber and 5G, but also projects aimed at making Proximus a 'diginative' company for our employees and our customers, or projects aiming to improve or secure our IT infrastructure. A wide variety of project opportunities.

Technical Skillset: You are familiar with Microsoft Office.

Eligibility

• You have more than 5 years of working experience: proven successful management of multiple 'End-To-End' major business/technical projects involving IT development.
• Familiar with Agile Project management methodologies.
• You are mastering the following soft skills: communication skills, organizing, problem solving, priority setting and Agile mindset.
• You can build out quickly a strong & supportive virtual network throughout the company, while working remotely.
• You are open-minded, eager to learn, a team player and you can interact with a variety of teams across the whole company.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and handle conflicts (interpersonal skills, diplomacy, serene debate).
• Can facilitate large meetings, workshops, and presentations to senior management.
• Work autonomously and prioritize your own time when working on multiple tasks for multiple teams.
• Be proactive on issues & risks and strongly result driven.
• You are fluent (spoken and written) in English.

Roles And Responsibilities

• The epic owner is accountable for delivering his epics on time, on budget and in scope with the needed quality to ensure a successful launch.
• Plans and leads implementation of IT development initiatives, aligns the release planning, and proposes appropriate delivery slices and release slots.
• Adopts the Agile methodology.
• Has a good understanding of the business drivers and of the proposed technical solution, enabling him to challenge both business & technical teams to secure planning and budget.
• Efficiently communicates with the key stakeholders.
• Identifies risks and proposes mitigation plans.
• Can deal with changes and adapt easily to changing environments.
• Can handle multiple epics of medium to large complexity in parallel.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Engineering, Science Engineering (Applied Sciences, Industrial Sciences or Civil Engineering), Applied Economics Sciences, Computer Science.

Good To Have Skillset

• Management of multiple 'End-To-End' major business/technical projects involving IT development.
