Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to join our dynamic organisation. As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach to IT support.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, network devices, and peripherals.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, and software issues to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support to end-users, promptly addressing and resolving IT-related problems, queries, and requests.
• Maintain and update the company's IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses, ensuring accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with external vendors, service providers, and other IT staff to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems, ensuring data security and privacy.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain system integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical information and minimise data loss.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for system improvements and optimisation.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and software deployments.
• Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to enhance end-user knowledge and maximise system utilisation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address technology needs and requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant certifications preferred).
• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role, managing IT infrastructure and providing technical support.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software applications.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Familiarity with server administration, Active Directory, and user management.
• Experience with cloud-based systems, virtualisation, and data backup solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection measures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear and concise technical support to end-users.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
• Proactive approach to IT management, keeping abreast of technology advancements and recommending improvements.
