Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - IT with 7 years of expertise in managing Retail POS (Point of Sale) applications, SQL databases, and system integrations. The role will focus on ensuring seamless operations of POS applications across retail stores, managing SQL database performance, and leading application integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage, support, and enhance Retail POS applications across all store locations.

- Oversee SQL database administration, including query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Handle system integrations between POS, ERP, payment gateways, loyalty programs, and eCommerce platforms.

- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and provide IT solutions for store operations.

- Lead application rollouts, upgrades, and patch deployments with minimal downtime.

- Ensure data integrity, transaction accuracy, and compliance with IT policies.

- Work closely with vendors for POS-related enhancements, issue resolution, and SLA adherence.

- Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and analytics for retail operations.

- Provide L2/L3 support for critical POS and integration issues.

- Document IT processes, SOPs, and maintain change logs.

- Support IT audits, compliance, and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

years of experience in IT application support, specifically in Retail domain.

- Strong knowledge of POS applications Wondersoft or equivalent

- Expertise in SQL (MS SQL) database queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with retail workflows : billing, promotions, discounts, returns, loyalty, and inventory.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work under pressure.

- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or related field.

- Relevant certifications in SQL, Database Administration, or POS Applications will be an advantage.
