Required Skills & Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain VMware vSphere and ESXi hosts, including system configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage VMware vCenter Server for centralized administration of virtual machines (VMs) and ESXi hosts.
  • Create, configure, deploy, and manage VMs and VM templates across the virtual environment.
  • Configure and manage VMware clusters, including resource pools, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and High Availability (HA) settings.
  • Oversee and optimize storage solutions, including VMware vSAN, NFS, and other integrated storage technologies.
  • Configure and manage VMware networking components, including vSwitches, Distributed Switches (vDS), and associated network policies.
  • Monitor and tune the performance of storage and network resources to ensure optimal virtual environment operations.
  • Implement and maintain VM backup and recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
  • Design, test, and regularly update disaster recovery (DR) plans for virtual infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to VMs, host servers, storage systems, and network configurations.
  • Provide advanced technical support to internal teams relying on VMware infrastructure for critical business applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery processes.
