Job Description – Senior Associate (SA, EL, TL, AM)

This role is responsible for managing the Voluntary/ Mandatory Processing and review.  The team provides a vital role in the Corporate Action value stream which captures and process voluntary and mandatory events in various Market. There is a high degree of risk associated with this position and risk management skills are critical. The role is based out of Hyderabad, Telangana and Bangalore,Karnataka and is responsible for the APAC,EMEA and US market, and work closely with our global teams/sites.

What you will be responsible for

As a Corporate Actions Senior Associate, EL, TL or AM you will:

Monitor market corporate action events against the portfolio for Mutual funds.

Analyses, researches and interprets corporate action terms and conditions according to established policies and procedures.

Validate the actions and prepares daily corporate action log.

Perform intra-day checks and EOD checks for the actions completed or pending and elevate any challenges according to the established procedures. 

Communicates with internal and external parties to provide corporate action information and relevant deadlines.

Calculates entitlements based on corporate actions terms and conditions and processes the requisite adjustments and possible ensuring market transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

Understand the pricing methodology of equity and fixed income product. 

Analyse the impact of securities trading suspension, delisting and adjustment factors that impact the overall fund portfolio. 

Reconciliation of the position entitled and the entitlement with custody payments. 

Researches and resolves all breaks – substantiate the breaks by identifying the root cause and resolving them.

Monitors all corporate action inflow of the events and publish updates to the team.

Assists in training of new employees; Act as technical resource to the team.

Works effectively as a team member but also independently.

Working towards becoming proficient in all areas of the job.

Typically works with moderate guidance, accountable for individual results and impact on work group.

Ensuring Client KPI and SLA are met at the defined level.

Ensuring timely processing of CA events with 100% accuracy.

During the course of normal day-to-day operation, responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and reporting and/or escalating in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures.

· Knowledge of Securities Market, experience in booking various corporate action types like DRIPS, DVOPS, Consent, Conversions, Bonus rights, Splits, Tenders, Bids, Exchange offers etc.

· Knowledge of trade lifecycle of a securities transaction across custody and clearing houses. 

· Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity lifecycle. 

· Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters for checking securities pricing, description, corporate action information, corporate news etc.

· Added knowledge of MCH,IDS and RKS would be an added advantage.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry recognized qualification 

· years' experience in financial services with minimum 3 years of relevant Corporate Action processing/ Fund Accounting experience.
