About the Role

We are looking for a skilled AWS Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS Glue and AWS analytics services. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that support advanced analytics and business intelligence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, and AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, etc.).
  • Build and maintain data lakes and warehouses using AWS S3, Athena, Redshift, and Glue Data Catalog.
  • Automate data ingestion and transformation from structured & unstructured sources.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Document data workflows, schemas, and technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably with cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience in AWS Glue (ETL jobs, crawlers, workflows).
  • Proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Hands-on with AWS services: S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IAM, Athena, Redshift, Glue Data Catalog.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data lakes.
  • Strong in pipeline orchestration and performance tuning.
  • Familiar with DevOps tools (CI/CD, Git) and Agile methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with streaming data (Kinesis, Kafka).
