ETL Project

Rebuilding existing ETL pipeline to support scalable, fault-tolerant, and more maintainable data processing.

The pipeline ingests transactional and reference data from multiple upstream systems (payment processors, internal services, and external partners), deduplicates and validates records, and loads them into analytical and reporting databases.

Tech Stack

  • Languages / Runtime: Python 3.11, SQL
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Workflow Orchestration: Prefect
  • Parallel Task Runner: Ray
  • Data Storage & Processing: AWS Aurora RDS, PostgreSQL (cached storage), S3 buckets
  • CI/CD: Bitbucket using Helm chart and Terraform

Data Engineer (ETL Focus)

Positions: 3

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable Python-based ETL pipelines.
  • Design and optimize SQL models and transformations for reporting and analytics.
  • Implement Prefect flows and integrate with Ray for distributed processing.
  • Work with AWS services (S3, RDS, EKS) for data ingestion, orchestration, and storage.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure accuracy, auditability, and performance.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Prefect and Ray (or similar orchestration/distributed compute tools).
  • Familiarity with AWS ecosystem (S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Background in ETL pipeline development and data quality best practices.

QA / Data Validation Engineer

Positions: 1

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated validation tests for data ingestion and transformations.
  • Ensure deduplication, reconciliation, and data quality rules are met.
  • Build reusable mock datasets for regression testing and dual-run cutover validation.
  • Work with Data Engineers to identify and resolve defects in pipelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks for data pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills for validation queries.
  • Familiarity with Python for test automation.
  • Exposure to AWS (S3, RDS) and CI/CD pipelines.
