Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for the company, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.

  • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.).
  • Prepare GST returns and TDS returns, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST), Income Tax (TDS), and other local taxes in India.

  • File GST returns, TDS returns, and prepare documents for tax audits.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure that the company remains compliant.

  • Assist with Income Tax assessments and audits.

  • Financial Analysis:

  • Support management with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to help management make informed decisions.

  • Assist in cost analysis and optimizing operational efficiency.

  • Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits.

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial documents for audit purposes.

  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Accounting Software:

  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) to record financial transactions and generate reports.

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency in the financial system.

  • Other Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual reports for statutory compliance.
  • Handle day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, billing, and payments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting. A professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with experience in Indian accounting standards and taxation.

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
