We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a section within the Electrical systems division as a part of the Electrical Center of Excellence in the Cat technology. As a first-line manager, the incumbent will provide leadership to a section primarily focused on Electro mechanical Design, Electrical system /Integration, Wiring harness Design, development.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and support a workgroup to foster collaboration internally and with external partners, ensuring project goals are met. You will cultivate a culture of innovation and commitment, managing a budget of up to $1.5M and overseeing at least 25 employees. Responsibilities include developing electrical systems and electro-mechanical components new Caterpillar products.

Specific responsibilities include:

Foster a culture of accountability and inclusivity that empowers the global team to achieve excellence in delivering customer value. Clearly articulate the team's purpose, vision, strategy, and annual objectives and deliverables. Proactively build strong, collaborative relationships with both internal and external customers, solicit and address customer feedback, and guide the organization's efforts to fulfil technological, product, service, and business requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives. Develop roles and responsibilities, resource plans with appropriate flexibility, and manage budgets effectively. Identify and cultivate talent for current and future positions. Ensure the team consistently meets commitments related to programs—delivering on time, with quality, and within cost constraints—while actively overseeing progress through established goals and metrics.

Required Skills:

B.E./B.Tech with over 15 years' engineering experience, including leadership. Skilled in electromechanical components, electrical systems, and wiring harness design/manufacturing. Demonstrated project management with global, cross-functional teams and oversight of 25+ staff. Requires strong leadership and a proactive, energetic approach.   

Desired Skills: 

1. 6 Sigma Black belt experience. 

2. Master's degree (equivalent) in Engineering, Electrical Electronics, Mechanical curriculum. 

3. Product Development experience in Construction/Mining/Automotive Industries.
