Role Overview : System & Automation Engineer (Automation in Infra, DevOps & Cloud )

We are looking for a passionate Automation & System Engineer to join our Stability & Resilience (SRE) team in Chennai. This role focuses on system automation, DevOps, monitoring, and production stability across global platforms. You will work closely with Paris teams, ensuring secure and resilient IT environments, with opportunities to contribute to innovation in automation and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate and optimize IT operations (production & non-production tasks).
  • Manage system patching, updates, and certificate renewals.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of services/platforms with proactive monitoring.
  • Deploy applications and platforms (Cloud / On-Prem).
  • Provide incident, change, and request management support (ITIL / ServiceNow).
  • Participate in on-call support rotation for incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional/global teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

  • Containerization: Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
  • DevOps Tools: Jenkins / GitLabCI, Ansible, Ansible Tower
  • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace
  • Cloud: IBM Cloud (preferred) / AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Linux: RedHat Linux administration
  • Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Job Scheduling: Autosys
  • Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL (basic queries, scripting)
  • Frameworks/Tools: ITIL, ServiceNow, Agile (Jira, Confluence)

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Backup, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery setups.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal).
