Solution Architect Principal

As a Mobile AI Ops Integration Solution Architect, you will operate as a senior technical leader and subject matter expert, responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and repeatable AI Ops solutions across BT's mobile network domains. You will lead the end-to-end solution architecture lifecycle—from discovery and design to implementation—ensuring alignment with BT's enterprise architecture, TSA regulations, and DD Ops transformation goals.

• Technical Leadership & SME Expertise: Operate as a subject matter expert in AI Ops and mobile integration, leading the design of complex, repeatable solution architectures that meet business and operational requirements.
•  Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business and operational teams to conduct technical and business discovery, deeply understanding operating models, functional needs, and key challenges.
•  Solution Design & Innovation: Lead the development of innovative, scalable, and reusable solution architectures that address the most complex integration challenges in mobile AI Ops.
•  Strategic Influence : Influence stakeholders by articulating the transformative potential of AI Ops technologies and services, aligning solutions with business goals and value drivers.
•  Governance & Alignment: Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture guardrails, design patterns, and governance frameworks, acting as the primary technical authority on architecture governance.
•  Documentation & Delivery : Produce robust proposals, scope of work documents, and architectural recommendations, identifying critical dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
•  Thought Leadership: Provide deep technical thought leadership across multiple technologies, shaping the long-term direction of AI Ops solution architecture.
•  Programme Leadership: Lead group-level initiatives from a solution architecture perspective, contributing to the company's broader commercial and operational strategy.
•  Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance solution architecture processes, methodologies, and customer-facing collateral.
•  Capability Development: Mentor and coach experienced professionals, fostering a high-performing team and building future capabilities within the architecture function.
•  Service Innovation: Lead the conceptualisation and development of new services and products within the AI Ops and mobile integration space.

•  Proven experience in solution architecture within large-scale telecom or cloud-native environments.
•  Deep understanding of AI Ops platforms, data integration, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kafka, AWS, BMC Helix, ServiceNow).
•  Strong knowledge of TSA regulations, TM Forum APIs (e.g., TMF639, TMF640), and BT's NaaS architecture.
   Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at senior levels.
•  Experience with agile delivery models, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

Experience you'd be expected to have:

•  A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or any relevant field A master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
•  AWS Solutions Architect, Associate or Professional, is good to have and holds high weight.
•  Strong knowledge of cloud concepts, architecture patterns, and best practices
•  Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS solutions
