After 4 years of establishing Clout as a cult streetwear label, we are now revamping into a commercial jeans powerhouse with a vision to scale across India and globally.

We are looking for a
Head Fashion Designer & Merchandiser
to lead our design direction, streamline merchandise planning, and drive trend-forward collections that align with our brand ethos and commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Direction

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for seasonal denim collections (fits, washes, finishes, trims, graphics).
  • Research and forecast global fashion, denim, and youth culture trends to ensure Clout stays ahead.
  • Translate market insights into commercially viable yet trend-setting designs.
  • Oversee design development, fabric sourcing, wash techniques, and sampling.
  • Build strong visual storytelling through lookbooks, campaigns, and merchandising.

Merchandising & Planning

  • Plan seasonal merchandise calendars in sync with sales and marketing goals.
  • Define core categories, bestsellers, and fashion-forward pieces within the collection mix.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize costings, margins, and timelines.
  • Strategize product pricing, positioning, and inventory planning.
  • Work with retail, e-commerce, and marketplace teams to ensure the right product mix per channel.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a team of designers, stylists, and merchandisers.
  • Work closely with marketing to align collections with campaigns and collaborations.
  • Collaborate with sales & retail partners for feedback-driven product development.
  • Represent Clout Jeans at trade shows, fashion weeks, and collaborations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, or Fashion Merchandising (NIFT/PEARL/Equivalent preferred).
  • 4–8 years of proven experience in denim/fashion design & merchandising (experience in a scaling commercial brand is a plus).
  • Strong eye for denim trends, silhouettes, washes, and youth-driven culture.
  • Understanding of business-side merchandising, costing, and retail strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for creating designs that balance
    trend, commerciality, and brand DNA
