Job Title: Senior AccountantDepartment: Finance & AccountsReports To: Finance Manager / Chief AccountantJob Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with financial analysis. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience in finalization of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (IND AS/IFRS/GST/TDS).
  • Prepare and file statutory returns such as GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Income Tax.
  • Support in financial audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Manage and mentor junior accountants in daily operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (Master's preferred).
  • CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / Oracle / MS Excel.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
