Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Protection Engineer (Relay) located in Chennai. The Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and commissioning protection relay systems. They will conduct fault analysis, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot various protection schemes. The engineer will also liaise with clients and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in testing and commissioning of protection relay systems
  • Skills in fault analysis, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communication and client liaison skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and analytical methods
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in the power generation and transmission distribution sector is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
