Our state-of-the-art warehouse and cold storage facility in Panangad is the central hub of our operations, critical to maintaining the quality and freshness of our products. We are looking for a vigilant and experienced supervisor to oversee this vital function.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse & Cold Storage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound, storage, and outbound activities within the warehouse, with a special focus on the management of our cold storage units. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of inventory management and safety protocols for perishable goods.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cold Storage & Quality Management:

• Strictly monitor and maintain the required temperature and humidity levels within all cold storage zones, ensuring optimal conditions for different types of produce.
• Conduct regular quality checks on all stored products, identifying and isolating any items that do not meet our quality standards.
• Implement and enforce proper handling procedures for perishable goods to minimize damage, spoilage, and contamination.
• Oversee the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation system to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.

2. Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise all inbound activities, including the unloading of shipments, verification of goods against delivery documents, and quality inspection of incoming stock.
• Manage the systematic storage and organization of all products, ensuring the warehouse layout is optimized for efficiency and safety.
• Oversee all outbound activities, including accurate picking, packing, and loading of orders for dispatch to clients and retail stores.
• Ensure all warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is operated safely and is properly maintained.

3. Team Supervision & Safety:

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide hands-on training to ensure the team operates efficiently and safely.
• Enforce all workplace health and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially within the cold storage areas.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards.

4. Inventory & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and real-time inventory records using the company's warehouse management system (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic stock-takes to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound documentation (GRNs, delivery challans, stock transfer notes) is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Generate daily reports on stock levels, warehouse activities, and any discrepancies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Direct experience working in a cold storage or perishable goods environment is strongly preferred.
• Proven knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles (especially FIFO), and safety standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a blue-collar workforce.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting (MS Excel, WMS software).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including spending time in cold storage units.
• Good communication skills in Malayalam.

Compensation:

• Salary: ₹16,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience.
• Additional Benefits: As per company policy.
