We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perl Developer to join our growing team on a contract basis.

This is a remote opportunity designed for an experienced professional who thrives in solving complex business problems, writing optimized and scalable code, and contributing to mission-critical migration projects.

The ideal candidate will bring 510 years of hands-on experience in Perl programming, along with strong knowledge of relational databases, code migration practices, and release management.


Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Perl as the primary programming language.

- Write clean, structured, and reusable Perl code to support scalable solutions for enterprise-grade applications.

- Work on database-related development, focusing on T-SQL / SQL Server, to ensure code is fully compatible, optimized for performance, and capable of handling large-scale data processing.

- Lead and contribute to application code conversion projects, specifically involving the migration of applications from Sybase to MS SQL, ensuring accuracy, stability, and backward compatibility.

- Collaborate closely with database administrators, system architects, and functional teams to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and deliver efficient code.

- Use ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) to connect Perl applications with relational databases, ensuring smooth integration and efficient data handling.

- Apply strong Git-based version control practices, ensuring proper branching, merging, code reviews, and conflict resolution across distributed teams.

- Support and enhance release management processes by preparing builds, automating deployments, troubleshooting release issues, and ensuring smooth production rollouts.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design meetings, contributing ideas to improve efficiency, performance, and scalability.
