Company Secretary (CS) Management Trainee

ROLE PURPOSE :
To support the Company Secretary and compliance team in executing corporate governance, regulatory filings, and secretarial functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate law, board procedures, and statutory compliance, ideal for a candidate who has successfully cleared all levels of the CS program and is seeking their first professional experience.
THE RESPONSIBILTIES WE ENTRUST YOU WITH.
- Assist in drafting and filing statutory documents with MCA, SEBI, and other regulatory bodies Support in organizing Board and Committee meetings, including preparation of agendas, notices, and minutes
- Maintain statutory registers and records in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013
- Aid in preparation and submission of annual returns and other ROC filings Contribute to ESG and corporate governance initiatives
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders for compliance matters
- Stay updated with changes in corporate laws and regulations
- Assist in secretarial audits and due diligence processes Support documentation and compliance for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities
WHAT MATTERS IN THIS ROLE :
Experience & Portfolio : must have cleared all levels of Company Secretary (CS) program from ICSI
Preferred: Any prior internship or experience in corporate secretarial, legal, or compliance functions
Technical Skills & Efficiency
- MCA21 portal, SEBI LODR regulations, Companies Act, 2013
- LegalSoft, LexComply, Complinity, or similar compliance management tools
- Proficiency in drafting resolutions, minutes, notices, and ROC forms (e.g., MGT-7, AOC-4, DIR-12)
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks and reporting standards (especially relevant due to exemption in ESG paper)
Communication & Ownership
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability: Comfortable with dynamic requirements and able to pivot recruitment strategies as needed.
THINGS YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH : Working from office
As of now, we work out of our offices, 5 days a week.
