Job Title: PD Merchant (Leather Industry)

Salary: ₹30,000 - ₹35,000 / month

Job Description

We are looking for a PD Merchant with a passion for the leather industry. The ideal candidate will manage product development, costing, vendor relations, and merchandising activities. This role involves working closely with design, production, and procurement to ensure product collections meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on new product development / leather accessories collections, from concept to production
• Source and evaluate vendors and suppliers specific to leather materials, trims, hardware etc.
• Track costing, margins, negotiate prices with suppliers
• Oversee sampling process, ensure sample quality, make adjustments & approvals
• Liaise with production units / factories to ensure timely delivery and maintain quality standards
• Monitor market trends, competitor products, and input into merchandising / assortment planning
• Maintain product data, specifications, quality checks documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Good understanding of the leather industry — materials, production processes, quality control
• Experience: Either a fresher ready to learn or someone with up to 5-10 years in a similar role
• Strong negotiation skills & vendor management
• Good communication skills, attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12, ₹35,000.00 per month
