Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Vehicle Dynamics (Steering, Brakes, Handling) performance evaluation of heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Manage Durability & Reliability Testing including structural durability, accelerated life tests, endurance testing, highway durability, and consumable life monitoring (tyre, brake, clutch, oil).
  • Perform Off-road and Defense Vehicle Testing (water wading, mud splash, winch pull test, articulation, shower test).
  • Liaise with external test agencies (ARAI, VRDE) for certification and compliance.
  • Plan and execute duty cycles (HAT, RMC, Ghat, Garbage cycle, etc.) for robust validation.
  • Benchmark competitor OEM vehicles for performance gaps and future product targets.
  • Drive VAVE / ICR cost optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare test plans, data analysis, test reports, dashboards, and ESO documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (IIT/NIT/reputed institute preferred).
  • Experience: 4-8 years in Commercial Vehicle R&D / Testing / Validation.
  • Strong expertise in Vehicle Dynamics, Durability & Endurance Testing.
  • Hands-on with MATLAB, data analysis & reporting.
  • Exposure to certification & liaison with agencies (ARAI, VRDE).
  • Knowledge of benchmarking & cost optimization (VAVE/ICR).
