As we expand our construction operations, we are seeking a **Permit Manager** to coordinate the permitting process for all our residential projects.


**Position Overview:**

The **Permit Manager** will be responsible for managing the entire permitting process from compiling required documentation to submitting applications and securing approvals from relevant local authorities. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of building codes, planning processes, and construction documentation.

You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all permits are filed accurately and approved in a timely manner, allowing construction to begin without delays.


**Key Responsibilities:**

* Coordinate and manage the full permitting process for residential construction projects.

* Compile and review all required documents for permit applications (plans, drawings, reports, etc.).

* Submit applications to local city and county departments.

* Track the status of all pending applications and follow up with relevant authorities for updates or revisions.

* Communicate with design teams, engineers, and contractors to resolve any issues identified during permit review.

* Maintain an organized digital record of all applications, correspondence, and approvals.

* Ensure all permits comply with local building codes, zoning ordinances, and regulations.

* Update management on permit timelines, potential delays, and approval milestones.


**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in **Civil Engineering**, **Architecture**, or a related field (required).

* 2+ years of experience in permit coordination, construction documentation, or project management.

* Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and municipal permit processes.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.

* Proficient in using project management and document tracking software (e.g., Google Workspace, Excel, or Buildertrend).

* Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.


**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience with residential real estate or construction projects.

* Familiarity with Arkansas or U.S. municipal permitting procedures.

* Prior experience working with architects, engineers, or local government offices.
