Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Ruby on Rails Developer, located in Chennai. The Ruby on Rails Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, working on both front-end and back-end aspects. The role involves implementing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework, and practicing Test Driven Development (TDD). The developer will collaborate with a team of developers and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using
    Ruby on Rails
    .
  • Implement new product features and modules from our roadmap.
  • Work on
    reporting automation
    ,
    no-code builder features
    , and related systems.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into well-structured code.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code following best practices.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and internal services where needed.
  • Troubleshoot and fix application issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Rails ecosystem updates and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Full-Stack Development
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Good knowledge of
    PostgreSQL/MySQL
    , including query optimization and database schema design.
  • Competency in Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with
    RESTful APIs
    and integrating with external systems.
  • Familiarity with
    Git
    and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    Stimulus JS
    ,
    Hotwire
    , or
    Turbo
    for Rails front-end interactions.
  • Familiarity with
    Docker

    AWS
    , or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with
    automation tools
