Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion and
  • Python.
  • Work with AWS services (S3, Redshift) for data ingestion, transformation,
  • and storage.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines to ensure high availability, scalability, and
  • performance.
  • Implement best practices for data quality, monitoring, and error handling
  • in data workflows.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and views for
  • reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders
  • to deliver data solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, compliance, and security policies are followed.
  • Automate data workflows and support real-time/batch data processing
  • requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (data processing, API integration,
  • automation).
  • Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL (job orchestration, transformations).
  • Build, configure, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion ETL.
  • Create and manage Matillion jobs, orchestration workflows, transformations, and
  • task scheduling.
  • Integrate multiple data sources (databases, APIs, files, S3 buckets) into AWS-based
  • data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Design reusable Matillion components (shared jobs, parameterized pipelines,
  • reusable transformations).
  • Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring within Matillion to ensure
  • robust pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services:
  • S3 (data lake, storage management).
  • Redshift / RDS (data warehousing, relational DBs).
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
